1. Who we are

Bikeloft (also written Bike Loft) is a pre-owned two-wheeler showroom at TC 18/1888(1), JRA 402 A, Jai Nagar, Thirumala-Thrikkannapuram Rd, Alappuram, Nareencheril, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala 695006, India.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Bikeloft, and "you" means anyone visiting this website or contacting us. For anything to do with your information, write to support@bikeloft.in or call +91 92920 21099.

2. Information you give us

We only receive what you choose to send. When you enquire about a vehicle, ask for a valuation, call us or message us on WhatsApp, that will usually be your name, your phone number, and details of the bike you want to buy or sell.

If you go on to actually buy, sell or exchange a vehicle with us, we then collect what a vehicle transfer legally requires:

• Proof of identity and address, such as Aadhaar and PAN.
• Passport photographs.
• The vehicle's registration certificate, insurance papers and service records.
• Where you ask us to arrange finance, the income proof and bank statements the lender requires.

3. What this website does on your device

Some things are worth spelling out precisely, because this site behaves differently from most:

• The forms do not submit to us. The "Sell your bike" form and every "Enquire on WhatsApp" button build a message and hand it to WhatsApp. If you close WhatsApp without sending, we never see it.
• This website sets no cookies of its own and carries no analytics or advertising tags.
• Local storage. So the stock list does not have to be downloaded on every page view, your browser keeps a copy of our public vehicle listings under the name bikeloft_stock_v1 for up to ten minutes. It holds vehicle details only, such as make, model and price. It contains nothing about you, it never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
• Filter choices appear in the page address (for example #stock?brand=Honda) purely so that a filtered view can be shared with someone. We do not record it.

4. Other companies your browser contacts

Opening this page makes your browser fetch a few things from Google. Those services can see your IP address and ordinary request information, and they act under their own privacy policies rather than this one:

• Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces used here.
• Google Maps, which draws the map of our showroom. It may set its own cookies.
• Google Sheets, because our live stock list is published from a spreadsheet that your browser reads directly.
• Featurable, which displays our Google reviews. Opening the reviews section loads a script from featurable.com, which fetches the review content and may set its own cookies. Featurable acts under its own privacy policy.

If you contact us through the WhatsApp buttons, that conversation is carried by WhatsApp and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy. The same applies to our Instagram, Facebook and YouTube pages.

5. Hosting records

As with nearly every website, the company that hosts this site may keep standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and which pages were requested. These exist for security and reliability. We do not use them to try to identify individual visitors.

6. Why we use your information

• To answer your enquiry, and to let you know when a suitable vehicle reaches the showroom.
• To value, buy, sell or exchange a vehicle, and to arrange delivery.
• To complete registration transfer and insurance formalities.
• To pass a finance application to a lender, where you have asked us to.
• To meet our tax, accounting and other legal obligations.

7. Who we share it with

Only where it is needed to do the thing you asked us to do:

• The Regional Transport Office, for transfer of ownership.
• Insurance companies, for transferring or issuing cover.
• Banks and non-banking financial companies, where you have asked us to arrange finance.
• Our accountant, and tax or law enforcement authorities where the law requires it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not hand it to anyone for advertising.

8. How long we keep it

Enquiry messages are generally kept for up to twenty-four months so we can follow up sensibly. Records connected to an actual purchase, sale or transfer are kept for as long as tax, accounting and motor vehicle law require, which is normally at least eight years.

9. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, erase it where we are not obliged to keep it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Write to support@bikeloft.in and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children

This website is not aimed at children, and a motor vehicle cannot be registered in the name of a minor. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen.

11. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the documents and details you give us, including keeping paperwork secure at the showroom and limiting who can see it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the date at the top.
